Kian Industry Bucket Elevator;

The Beating Heart of Vertical Production Lines

The bucket elevator is one of the most critical pieces of equipment in any cement, gypsum, flour, animal feed, and chemical industry factory. This device uses plastic or metal buckets mounted on a chain or belt to convey bulk materials from bottom to top. Kian Industry designs and manufactures bucket elevators in two types: centrifugal discharge (suitable for free-flowing materials such as wheat and cement) and gravity discharge (suitable for fragile and sticky materials such as milk powder and detergent powder).

All our elevators are manufactured using standard European components (German chains, Italian gearboxes, Siemens electric motors) and in compliance with ISO and CE standards. Sample completed projects include a 45-meter elevator for a Tehran cement factory with a capacity of 250 tons/hour, a 30-meter elevator for a Mashhad flour factory with a capacity of 80 tons/hour, and a 20-meter stainless steel elevator for the food industry in Isfahan. Kian Industry, with a 24-month warranty and 10-year after-sales service, is your reliable partner in the material handling industry.

What is a Bucket Elevator and How Does It Work?

A bucket elevator is a device that uses a belt or chain with attached buckets to vertically convey bulk powder and granular materials. Material enters the buckets from the inlet hopper, moves upward, and is discharged into the outlet hopper at the discharge point. There are two main discharge types: centrifugal discharge (suitable for free-flowing materials that are thrown outward by the bucket rotation speed) and gravity discharge (suitable for fragile and sticky materials that are gently discharged as the buckets invert). Kian Industry manufactures both types with excellent quality and in compliance with international standards.

History and Reasons for Manufacturing

The first bucket elevators were built in the 19th century for conveying grain in mills. Before that, grain bags were transported using ropes and pulleys or manual labor, which was very slow and dangerous. With the invention of the bucket elevator, a massive transformation occurred in the industry. Today, the bucket elevator is recognized as the primary vertical conveying equipment in cement, mining, food, chemical, and animal feed industries. Kian Industry, by localizing this technology, offers elevators with European quality at competitive prices to Iranian industrialists.

Applications in Various Industries

Cement and Gypsum Industry: Conveying cement powder, gypsum, lime, and clinker to silos and hoppers at the top of the plant. Mining Industries: Conveying copper concentrate, iron ore, coal, and salt. Food Industry: Conveying wheat, barley, corn, flour, sugar, and milk powder. Hygienic models with food-grade plastic buckets are offered. Chemical Industries: Conveying chemical powders, fertilizers, activated carbon, and resin. Animal Feed Industry: Conveying meal, corn, soybeans, and fish meal.

Advantages of Kian Industry Bucket Elevators

Use of standard European components (Italian gearboxes, German chains, Siemens/ABB electric motors). Custom design based on material type, capacity, and height. Capability to install level, flow, and temperature sensors for full automation. 24-month warranty and 10-year after-sales service with 24/7 support. Competitive pricing due to direct manufacturing at Kian Industry's factory. Free consultation before purchase and complete operator training after installation.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Monthly inspection: Check chain or belt tension, lubricate bearings, inspect bucket attachments. Quarterly inspection: Measure bucket and chain wear, readjust tension. Annual inspection: Replace worn buckets, change gearbox oil, inspect drive sprocket. Common issues: Material leakage from the bottom (cracked bucket or loose chain), capacity reduction (chain slippage or bucket wear), unusual noise (bearing failure or bucket hitting the tube). With proper maintenance, a bucket elevator can last up to 15 years.
